INGREDIENTS
2 Large Potatoes
Salt to taste
2 1/2 cup cornflakes crushed
Oil for deep fry
Batter
1 onion, roughly chopped
1 green chilli, ginger chopped
Salt to taste
1/2 cup refined flour
1 tsp cornflour
METHOD:
For the batter, grind the onion , green chilli,ginger & salt to a fine paste.
Mix the ground paste with the flour & cornflour .Add two tsp of water to make thick batter.
Peel & cut the potatoes lengthways into even strips. Heat four cups of water in pan.Add the salt & parboil the sliced potatoes.Drain & set aside.
Heat sufficient oil in kadai. Dip the potatoes in the batter , roll in crushed cornflakes & deep fry till golden brown.Drain on napkin.
Serve with green chutney or sauce
