ALOO KI TIKKI

Hi friends
so i am here again with my new recipe..i am feeling so good as you all loving my blog and giving so much of positive response.today I am writing this recipe in English as everyone specially my Bangalore friends will read it.so my new recipe is ALOO KI TIKKI or BHALLE you say..They are so delicious.. so today we make it with our twist...

Ingredients
4 medium sized potatoes
1/2 cup boiled green peas
½ tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder or 1 to 2 green chilies, finely chopped
½ tsp coriander powder/dhania powder
½ tsp cumin powder/jeera
¼ tsp dry ginger powder/saunth or ¼ tsp minced ginger
¼ tsp chaat masala powder
1.5 to 2 tbsp corn starch or rice flour or arrowroot flour, or add as required
2 to 3 tsp chopped coriander leaves
oil for deep frying
salt as required

1) Boil the 3 medium potatoes in pressure cooker. For that take washed potatoes in a pressure cooker, add enough water so potatoes are submerged in the water. Cover with the lid, put the weight on. Turn the heat on medium and let it cook for 2-3 whistles. The number of whistles may vary depending on the size and type of the potatoes. Also boil the ¾ cup green peas. I have cooked peas in microwave for 4-5 minutes for quick boiling. Since I have used frozen peas, it took less time. if you are using fresh peas then cooking time will be more.

2) Grate the boiled potatoes, and leave the last end of potato and keep it aside. in grated potatoes add 3 tsp of cornflour and make it like a dough

3) Now add green peas and the end of the potato pieces and mix all the masalas in it..if you want mix it in a mixer (that is my way)

4) Now take one portion of potato dough and flat it in your palm and put some peas mix in it and close it

5) Now put oil in kadai after it heat put the tikki in it and and fry it in medium to high flame

6) Enjoy it with green chutney.
